YORK Mary M. Boring, 87, of Manchester Township, died at 6 p.m. Sunday at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of Paul L. Boring. The couple observed their 50th wedding anniversary in March.
The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boring was born Aug. 29, 1912, in Washington Township. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie S. (Ruppert) Anderson.
She was the co-owner of Bentzels Mill in York. She attended Salem Lutheran Church in Dover.
Mrs. Boring is survived by a daughter, Janet Leppo of York; two grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Paige of York.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Edgar Reed, pastor of Salem Lutheran Church in Dover

Raymond L. Boring   Raymond L. Boring Jr., 23, of Conway, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000. Born Aug. 12, 1977, in Rochester, a son of Raymond L. Boring Sr., Conway, and Carla Wissinger Boring, Uniontown, Pa., he was employed with Policastro Construction Inc., Hookstown. He graduated from Freedom High School in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Virgil and Lettie Boring.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his fiancee, Shana Prokpovich; maternal grandparents, Ettabile and her husband, Ed Clement, Conway, and Carl and Jean Wissinger, Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Ryan E. Boring, Conway, and uncles and aunts, Kathy and Ronald Johnston, James and Terrie Boring, Christy and Jerry McCafferty, Ben and Lori Clement, John and Suzie Clement, and Michael Clement.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HUNTSMAN ROCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, 502 Adams St., where a service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Violet M. Boring (F)   Violet M. Boring, 78, formerly of Pearl Street, Aliquippa, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at 2:40 p.m. in the East Liverpool Convalescent Center.
Born July 5, 1922, in Fairmont, W.Va., a daughter of the late Earl Ball and Iva Opel Mays Ball, she was a homemaker and a member of Family Church of Jesus Christ, Ambridge, and the Blind Association, Beaver Falls Chapter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Boring, in 1991, and a grandson, Terry Lee Boring.
She is survived by six sons, Albert Boring Jr., Center Township; Robert Boring, Somerset, Pa.; Billy Boring, Aliquippa; Terry Lee Boring, Georgetown; Ronald Boring, Monaca, and Sam Boring, Toronto, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Lilly, Chester, W.Va.; Mrs. Jerry (Margaret) Haught, New Cumberland, W.Va.; Mrs. Kelly Sexton, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Edward (Ivy) Reed, Aliquippa, and numerous beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ARNER FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., 607 Carolina Ave., Chester, W.Va., where a service will be held Monday at noon. Mr. And Mrs. Anthony and Geraldine Sobiesk will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery.
     
Virgil R. Boring   Virgil R. Boring, 68, of New Sewickley Township, died Sunday, May 28, 2000. Born July 2, 1931, in Baden, a son of the late Lowry and Freda Allwes Boring, he was a retired, self-employed auto repairman, and a retired employee of Allen Paving, Beaver.
He was a member of the Freedom Eagles, the Monaca S.O.I. and the Monaca Vets, and was a member and trustee of the Monaca Coronet Band Room.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lettie Sue Ruckert Boring, in 1989; a brother, Lowry Boring Jr.; a nephew, Michael Boring, and a sister-in-law, Carol Boring.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond Boring, Conway, and James and Terrie Boring, Freedom; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ronald Johnston, New Sewickley Township; six grandchildren, Jason Johnston, Jodi Schultheis, and Raymond, Ryan, Misty and Zachery Boring; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Cole and Brett Johnston; five brothers, Ted Boring and Clayton Boring, both of Beaver; Bobby Boring, Freedom; Herbie Boring, Conway, and Cell Boring, Ambridge; five sisters, Fritzie Kresach, Rochester; Adele Huffman, Lisbon, Ohio; Ginger Johnston, Darlington; Vallie Evans, Glendale, Ariz., and Betsy Lytle, Westerville, Ohio.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the HUNTSMAN ROCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, 502 Adams St., where a funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.
