Notes for George Boring
Some individuals list Georges middle initial as "W"
Many individuals do not show George as a son of Absolom because he is not listed in the Obituary of Greenberry. Why he is not listed is a mystery. It may have been an oversight, he may have been ostracized or some other reason. However it is clear based on the 1829 Deed below that he is indeed a son of Hannah Little.
George Borings birthyear of 1793-1795 is based on two items. First, he is a son of Hannah Little who married Absolom in 1793 and thus couldn't be older than 27 in 1820 when he shows up on the Census. That Census also shows him to be 26-45 years old. Thus he has to be either 26 or 27 years old in 1820 and thus born in the 1793-1795 range.
1820 Census Gibson Co., IN
George Borrin 1 male 0-10, 1 male 16-26, 1 male 26-45, 1 male 45+ (looks like it was erased), 1 female 0-10, 1 female 16-26
living one house away is
Absolem Borin Sen. 2 males 0-10, 1 male 45+, 1 female 0-10, 1 female 26-45
WHO IS THIS ABSOLEM SR????
THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING ENTRY - - ALSO IN GIBSON CO., (3 pages away) IN 1820 WERE NICHOLAS BOREN m. TO MARY CATHERINE HAMPSON, ANDREW BLYTH MARRIED TO POLLY BOREN (NICHOLAS' DAUGHTER), ABSOLEM AND JOHN BOREN (NICHOLAS' SONS) all living next door to each other - - NICHOLAS DAUGHTER MARGARET WAS THE ONE MARRIED TO CHANEY BOREN AND JAHUE BLYTHE
It seems that this gives some credence that Chaney was married to Margaret Boren and thus was the father of John Dorsey. Margaret Boren would be George's Aunt.
